The episodes starts and we see a rescued Christy, but that isn’t enough, we don’t even find out about the way she got rescued or when or whatever. It’s just pop – she’s here. I think that this could have been a solid storyline for this show. But the writers choose some silly storyline about some male witch who wants to get Paige instead. Seriously that was just silly!!!
By the way what happened to Phoebe’s hair? She had some really grows thing done with that in the last years, but this time, she definitely got too far with it! And Billie looks strange too, I don’t know if it is her hair too or just her styling or whatever. Somehow I found it really disturbing.
Then The thing with Christie being the key: You know what immediately bumped in my mind? Exactly: Buffy the Vampire Slyer! To be precise Season 5. The sister is the key to the power a new world, whatever it doesn’t matter. The whole thing just looks like a really cheap copy of that!!!
And again we see Wyatt, but where the heck is Chris?? Seriously he really should be around. Piper always talks about her boys (plural), so where’s the second one?
Then we learn that the triads are the big evil for the show finale. But why can they be more powerful than the source? I mean that is just irrational, especially when they exist for such a long time. Do the writers forget what source means? It’s just getting so silly!

After all this was a really disappointing episode!! But the positive thing is: Paige is engaged.

This was an excellent Episode!

 

Imho it's the best in this season, of course there've been other great episodes too in this season, but I really liked this one. Maybe it's just because I love to learn more about Wyatt and his Parents and of course his lovely brother (7x20 and 7x18 were my favs of season 7), which of course doesn't mean that the Episode had a bad storyline!

 

However, let's have a quick review what happened:

Wyatt celebrated his 3rd Birthday, finally he's having some fun (he's really a poor guy, first his parents split up, an elder tried to kill him, his daddy went mad, and now he's kind of dead), it's a wonder you can still se him smile :,(

Paige's getting some healing powers - now who expected this to happen? (forget the spoilers for once ;P) So I guess the Charmed Ones can have again real, big, fights with those bad bad deamons now xD

But the writers also kind of told us that this relationship of Henry and Paige could turn into something serious.

Nothing big happened with Phoebe today, well at least nothing regarding the main plot for this season.

 

Allthough this was a great episode (really great), I somehow missed Chris, I mean you usually are arround for your brothers birthday, especially at this age xD

Ok, this episode may not be the best one we've ever seen (the Mr. & Mrs. Smith part was really boring!), but there still where a lot of things in this ep that were quite good.

First of all we get to know more about Billie and her parents. I mean everybody has been asking himself and othere where Billie got her powers, and why she didn't knew anything about it.

Finaly Paige a relationship that could actually really work (after Nathan, Richard and Kyle) - just forget the 8x12 spoilers for a moment.

The writers also gave us a clue what might happen with Phoebe next,...

I know I'm a little late, and I want to appologize for that, but I was a bit busy the last few weeks,...

 

 Charmed has never put me in this position before. Never have I felt speechless after an episode of this show. Sure I was shocked - ''All Hell Breaks Loose'', and a little upset - ''Long Live the Queen'' but now, here with ''Vaya Con Leos'' it's genuinely sad to see such a happy, always positive guy leave in such a way. The reaction of the sisters, Piper more specifically, was heartbreaking and I honestly feel she should win some sort of an award for her performance during this episode.

It's hard to believe season eight, a season that just hasn't delivered what it's promised so far, has offered (Out of nowhere I may add) an instant series classic. Charmed can do itself justice when given a strong enough script and with just the writer needed it can dish out some great television. This is evidence of that and I do hope that the rest of the season will hold up in terms of effectiveness and standards.

On any show it's always hard to lose a character that you're usually used to seeing in every other episode, leave in such tragic circumstances like this. Remember Tara's death on ''Buffy''? But I think in some ways Leo's is more justified and unlike Prue's death there is a sense of closure to it all. Brian really did have a lot to do during this episode in terms of getting changed, heh. The scenes with around seven different versions of Leo onscreen at the same time was a great gimmick and it didn't look too fake. In such an emotional episode there was some nice moments that were worthy of a few giggles.

Death is a topic the sisters have to deal with every other week. But since their Charmed bond has gotten stronger over the years and they've faced almost every obstacle thrown at them I don't think it ever occurred that the threat would hit home in such a way. I mean, sure evil minions try to kill Wyatt all the time, but they can be stopped. What does one do when it's the Angel of Death knocking at your door? This aspect is brilliantly portrayed and Pipers explanation of ''You owe us for what we've done over the years'' approach was exactly the right route to take. Because as the Angel of destiny said, they need something to happen that will give them the drive to work harder to fight whatever is coming, it's the prize at the end of the day that wills us on to achieve our goal. Now that Piper and the sisters know this I think the latter half of the season will obtain a certain edge to it (Hopefully).

Holly was fantastic here. She really did give a Charmed performance for the books. This definitely tops her Fury breakdown back in season four. And yet again ''Vaya Con Leos'' proves she is the best actor on Charmed. The sisters goodbye to Leo was very, very sad and all of them acted as you would expect. Piper balling her eyes out, Paige giving that silence teary eyed goodbye and Phoebe holding the tears back blowing a kiss goodbye. Perfect. If this battle the Angel of Destiny said would happen, happens and the sisters win then I hope their reunion is just as emotional and as well thought out.

Which leads me to Billie. Yes, the bimbo of the group that I have left for last for good reason. Her story, yes her sister story that we've only skimmed upon, is now finally starting to pick up the pace. This is the first time the sisters and Billie had a good story that interacted a number of times. The quest to find her sister looks likes it's going to be a hard one and I did feel like Billie was pushed to the side very harsh-fully, if not rightfully by the sisters. Maybe now they will begin to realise why she's been acting like a ''Brat'' up until now, going off on missions she should not have been doing. She was trying to find a way to save her sister. Just like Piper was trying to save Leo.

The dilemma that occurred at the end - Save Leo to lose the only lead on Billie's sister was a very awkward situation. And this, now at least, will finally give ‘’Billie haters’’ a reason to like her. She tossed any chance to find her sister out the window in order to help her friends, to help a family that needed her help. Billie not crying at Leo's departure was necessary. She just lost her only lead. She may never be able to find here sis now because of the very tough decision she had to make. Sure she was sad for Leo, but still, I think the shock of it all overwhelmed her to a point that she just felt numb.

The sisters are now firmly in ''We're screwed'' territory. It really does say something if the elders, the avatars and the Angel of destiny are fearing this new power. And I must say the episode is affective in building the suspense throughout and with a beautiful performance from Holly it made you even more anxious in finding out who this being is and what it wants. Whatever it is it's clearing it's tracks in the process and the demon vanquish at the end was riveting with good music and special effects to boot.

What also helped this episode along was the fact it had some healthy sub plots that for once didn't drag anything down. The relationship between Henry and Paige is nice and subtle, not feeling forced as previous boyfriends have been. The multiple Leo plot was fun while it lasted and provided some comic relief in this otherwise dark hour.

Overall a stunning episode of Charmed that, I would assume, made many a fans cry their little hearts out - with good reason too. The ending was great with Paige walking into the arms of Henry, Phoebe playing with the kids and Piper switching off the lights to her husbands car.

Hulkus Pocus was yet again, another excellent episdoe of the new season of Charmed! It is very inspiring and...a good episode!

Billie is infected by a virus, and is going to die soon, unless the Charmed ones find an antidote for her. So Piper, Phoebe, and Paige have to do something very risky, just to save Billie.

And they succeed! They find the antidote and save Billie, and everyone else affected by the virus!

 

There also were some nice quotes in this episode, they can be found, as always, on the charmed quote database.

Worst episode of the season so far. The episode was actually only about Billie and the powerful belt.

What happened to the good writing of Charmed? Please make more good episodes like Run, Piper Run or Still Charmed & Kicking. Because this one sucked bigtime.Leo finally has a good part in this episode, that's the only good part of it along with the girls being back in P3. Don't have anything else to say about it, except that it was painful for me to even keep watchin the episode - And i'm a really big Charmed fan!

Well I must say I was a little disappointed with this episode. They had already done so much of the issues raised in the episode. Here are a few examples:

Piper and Leo switching bodies, they did this one already for the same reason.

Phoebe saying something to the effect of “Any good therapist would want you to walk a mile in the others shoes”, yep she already said this too. The last time Piper and Leo switched bodies.

The innocent trapped in the photograph. Yeah the last time it was a painting…same theory.

I mean I understand they are under some budget cuts but geeze at least make me want to tune in next week. I just hope this is not the downward spiral, and I am a huge Charmed fan but I was just plain disappointed with this episode.

But I guess I will see what next week brings, because I just can’t seem to miss an episode.

Well, now that this stupid "secret identities" thing is over with, the season may get back on track. The problems with the press make sense and I like the ways Paige manages to deal with it. The part where Piper turns some reporters into mice was a bit much but funny.

So we're into the pregnancy already with Phoebe? Had thought they'd wait a tad but gives new boost to her dilema. I do like how they've played this, that Phoebe spent so much time wanting to get married and have kids only to find out it may not be happening as she'd hoped. This could be something to work with. And talking about Phoebe, there's a quote from this ep, of course at CQDB.

The Piper/Leo stuff seems a bit tired but once again Holly Marie shows her great comedic timing that manages to lift most of the scenes and proves how much she's the soul of the show. However, this one could turn out as something serious, as we all know that Leo will be featured in only 10 episodes of this season.

And then we get to Billie as we get insight to her past and some nice dramatic moves from her. She's been dragging the show a bit so far but hopefully this may give her a better boost in the eyes of fans.

So a good turning point episode that sets a new tone for the season, which could be desperately needed in Charmed.
